You’ve probably guessed from the rather bold claim in the Youtube thumbnail and video that we believe we`ve found some lost letters, poems, memoirs and even some sketches by Lord Byron!

We would be so grateful and encourage you to watch the video below "all the way through" to help us establish whether this is possibly one of the best English Literature finds for some time!

As you guys may know. Both myself and my partner Clair own a cleaning and clearance business in Norwich, Norfolk UK. We also buy, recycle and re-sell items online from a range of sources, such as auctions, charity shops, online marketplaces and carboot sales - Which we both enjoy.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing this Clair is unwell. She required hospital treatment a couple of weeks back and is awaiting further tests – Thankfully she is now at home recovering!

As a result of spending the past week or so at home (looking after Clair, the kids and house) I have been able to sort through our “Death Pile” of stock which is seemingly EVERWHERE!

To give you an idea... I was sorting through 10,000+ books. Out of those easily 3/4 were damaged, unsellable or simply not worthy of charity donation - Such as shame!

During the “cull of stock" which included mouldy, rodent or water damaged books (in the lock-up) I located several standard “everyday books” which were resellable online or donated to charity…

One particular book which features in this video was VERY VERY very close to being thrown into the cardboard recycle pile, as it contained “what I deemed” as “un-readable hand-writing”.

I know this sounds REALLY cheesy... But when I went to throw the book into the recycling pile, my hand didn`t let go of it! My entire arm done a full 360 swing, with the book still in hand?!

Something told me to put it aside… After all I was stressed, over-whelmed and experience has taught me to “research items later”, once the job is done and I have a clear mind.

I am so glad I took that decision and that the book came home with me!

After nearly 2 weeks of research. I am CONVINCED this is a book which contains handwritten text by Lord Byron himself – And the other "name drops" mentioned within are MIND BLOWING!

The names I believe are mentioned in the book are;

Lord Byron
Peter Parker (cousin)
Caroline Lamb (lover)
Princess Charlotte
King George III
William Fourth (questionalbe)
Rt Hon Admiral John Beresford
Mary Beresford

I will create more video episodes which will look at each page entry in closer detail from beginning to end - Starting with a poem to Caroline Lamb (assumed)?

Who was Lord Byron, some may ask?

Lord Byron is probably the most famous romantic English poet who lived in Great Britain during the 17th and 18th century. This was around the time of the English and American Wars, Spanish Invasions and Napoleon Bonaparte. Just to paint a picture.

Lord Byron was once referred to as “Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know” because of his failed marriages, scandalous affairs, debt, drugs, bi-sexuality and sleeping with over 200 women.

This included his half-sister “Augusta” – Who later gave birth his daughter called “Ava Lovelace”.

Toward the end of his time in Great Britain, Lord Byron felt forced to leave his homeland due to all the controversy above and to seek adventure in Greece. Lord Byron wanted to help the Greeks gain independence from Turkey (and the Sultan Empire) who controlled it at that time in History.
