'Kick & Step' is a
'Kick & Step' is a play on the common choreography term used by dancers; which also fits the idea behind this initiative.
A pair of sneakers to a dancer is like soccer boots to a soccer player. Except, not only does it have to serve the dancer in terms of function and comfort, it has to look good too.
Across the different street dance genres, the dancers have created a unique form of sneaker culture; one that is tremendously diversified within the community.
Sneakers play a big role in a dancer's lifestyle, yet there is still a disconnection between these two cultures.
KICK & STEP aims to bring the sneaker culture and the streetdance community together to narrow the gap between these two symbiotic cultures.
By focusing on this complementing relationship between these two cultures, we hope sneakers brands, sneakersheads and dancers can find a common ground to work together eventually.
