sci.AI is a free platform that “understands” research papers and “explains” them to analytics and search algorithms. It takes biomedical research in plain text and produces semanticized, machine-readable versions.

How to add authors' data to the academic paper with sci.AI and ORCID

1. Start writing your paper, for example, in Google Docs, add your name and names of your colleagues. When the paper has been written, send it for sci.AI processing. Algorithms will search for the matches between ORCID profiles in the authors section.

2. Open sci.AI preprint and validate authors’ recognition. Confirm authors that were found correctly.  If sci.AI has identified several versions of your name, simply scroll through the list to select your correct profile.

3. If some of the authors weren’t recognized, you can assign the correct ORCID identifier manually. Highlight the name with the cursor, select ORCID in custom ontology field, add the correct ID.

4. Now you can send a sci.AI link or file to the journal as it includes all necessary information about the authors.
The editorial team will take over metadata from the sci.AI file and prepare a beautifully enriched publication.
