Travelling to the US with your dog? Here’s what you need to know

New strict border rules for dogs come into effect on Aug. 1 and it may mean owners will have to leave their canine companion at home before crossing into the U.S.

The rules require Canadian dog owners to show current veterinary paperwork about their dogs' rabies vaccination status when crossing the border.
