Jordan taps two venture capital juggernauts, Serena Williams and her company Serena Ventures and MaC Venture Capital to award $1 million to one black-owned business in the first-ever Startup Pitch Competition. The three finalists, Khalid David, Candice Blacknall, and Brandon Stokes, all hailing from HBCUs were advised by Amazon’s Black Business Accelerator, Invesco QQQ, and Public.com. Each entrepreneur pitched their business to the three potential investors. Ultimately, there can only be one winner for the $1 million prize.
