How to Fix Error Code P242F !
Regeneration was done using Delphi DS150E Diagnostic
IMPORTANT !! - Make sure that you do not have any fuel leaks ! (especially injector fuel return pipes damaged / leaking )
Before starting make sure you are in a well ventilated area ! (preferably not inside the city / village )
(PLEASE NOTE : a fire extinguisher may be useful and Highly Recommended just in case your car catches fire while regenerating - it will not catch fire but just in case )
Heat up your engine (water needs to be at least at 65 degrees celsius , and make sure that you have at least 1/4 Fuel in your tank , and that no trouble codes are stored in the ECU .
Turn On your Aircon and Heated Rear window .
Press ok and it will soon start revving automatically at 4000 RPM's .
Have the fire extinguisher next to you and sit outside the car . If it catches fire stop the engine and extinguish the fire (it's hard to catch fire but not impossible )
After you finish , take the car and if possible push the pedal to the floor in 1'st , 2'nd 3'rd , 4'th ' 5'th , gears (will help burn some extra soot as while driving the exhaust temp will go much higher .
After all of this let the car idle for at least 5 minutes (or drive slowly at low revs / 1500 - 1700 RPM's for 5 minutes ) in order to cool down the engine & turbo .
