Recorded from the venue's soundboard/mixing desk to a Sarah 611MC 'Epicurean a Soundtrack' music cassette. This is the famous 'Le Bikini' performance, which saw the release of 3 tracks by French label Aquavinyle in May 1995.

The Aquavinyle 7" included Chelsea Guitar, Air France and Sea Horses.

This tape is labelled 'Master' and is more complete, and with better channel balance. It could well be the source of that partial cassette, and indeed possibly even the soundboard to tape source itself.

Highlights are the first ever performance of Toulouse after writing it that afternoon (and with different lyrics tan the studio version) and Keith speaking more than usual in between songs and some great ad libs. Martin who played drums on the tour only had a fortnight to learn and rehearse with the band beforehand and he plays brilliantly throughout.

Keith mentions during the break between Chelsea Guitar and A Gentle Sigh how 'this is the first time we've played Tracy Island and we like it', and later saying 'Lovely club - nice swimming pool'. Paul's recollection of the way 'Toulouse' came about is as follows:

As I recall, we arrived at the amazing Bikini venue in Toulouse in the afternoon which Keith remarked looked like Tracy Island from Thunderbirds. We sat by the pool, swam and Clare from the record label dived in and grazed her knee (I could have kissed your graze and blamed the drink. She moves me but her lovers look beautiful and the sun is beating down on etc). I already had the chords and music sorted out for a ballad type song and played through it while Keith wrote the words which everyone thought we should play that night. So I guess, that was the first time it was played.

Recorded from the venue's soundboard / mixing desk onto DAT, then to cassette. Cassette transfer and mastering kindly managed by Beechwoods.
