Today we will be learning the voiced sound / z /.
The sound /z/ is one of those tricky sounds, so get the concentration brain because you’re going to need it.
The sound /z/ is produced by the tip of the tongue touching the alveolar behind the upper teeth. The air vibrates between them too and the air is released to pronounce the voiced sound /z /.
Let me show you quickly: keep the mouth nice and loose, then get the teeth and clench them together (a little bit hard than you would with the [s] sound); so nice and hard, keep the tongue behind there so you create the airflow, and you’re pushing the air through the narrow channel and through the teeth.
