Mbeki stands by his views on HIV/AIDS

Two decades later, former president Thabo Mbeki remains firm on his views regarding HIV/AIDS. In his remarks at his annual lecture at the University of South Africa, Mbeki reiterated that HIV weakened the immune system but did not necessarily cause AIDS.
