Drummers World Nesting Drum Set

Some recent snow days gave me some time to set up, check out and record a few new drum sets that I acquired recently. In this video I am playing a Drummers World custom nesting kit. Here, the term "nesting" means that the toms fit inside the bass drum for easy portability, kind of like the old Russian nesting dolls. I can actually get the drum set you see here into one bass drum case, one 14" tom case and a trap case.

This kit is actually made up of two separate sets. One is a 20" BD with a 12" tom and 15" floor tom and the other is an 18" BD with a 10" tom and 14" floor tom. I use the small 18" kit for jazz gigs and the larger for most other gigs. Both of these sets fit into only 2 cases when I use them individually.  The 18" BD is to my left on the video. I may post a short video review later on if time permits.
I am really pleased with these drums. They sound, look and feel great. Much better then all the other nesting kits I have used over the years. I recently got this kit along with a Musser M 250 marimba into an older Toyota Prius which tells you how compact they travel.

This video is made in a dry room with only the video camera mic. There is no processing or mixing involved so you can really see what the drums sound like raw.I am making a conscious effort to use the toms as much as possible in several styles so you can hear their range.
