This is the remastered and restored Mighty Max S01E03: Snakes and Laddies. It was taken from an unused, shrinkwrapped VHS.
This is part of a project I have been working on for a long time. After a lot of R&D I now feel confident in sharing this work.
Please don't expect HD or Blu-ray quality. That just isn't realistic considering the source. What you CAN expect is a high quality, very watchable almost DVD quality. I have taken great care to make sure they look as good as possible. I hope that you will agree with me that this is the way the show should look! Especially compared to the quality of other episodes here on youtube. Until someone gives a company access to the broadcast masters, I think this is the best we can hope for.
Some steps I've taken:
*A good source (VHS tapes without big problems, sometimes unused)
*A quality capture (SVHS player with stabilizer and noice reduction, S-video cable, saved as AVI file)
*Digital cleanup process (deinterlacing, remove blended frames, fix audio crackle, color correct, noise reduction etc)
* Encode with high bitrate, MP4 H.264 compression
