India’s Defence Ministry has approved the purchase of the home-grown Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) and the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH). The Indian Air Force will receive 97 Tejas Mk1A fighter jets taking the overall order to 200 jets. Meanwhile, 156 Prachand attack helicopters have been ordered for the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army. This comes After Prime Minister Narendra Modi flew in the Tejas a few weeks ago.
