Why So Many Dogs?

We’ve had a couple of days where we’ve had to hang out in the playground for extended periods of time, other areas were being used by tradies and people coming and going. It’s been busy.

For those who have recently joined our farm journey and are wondering ‘why so many dogs?’ … we’ve put this together.

It started out as a run through of each of the dogs in our pack, how they came into our life and why they didn’t leave. But it kind of turned into quite the honest emotional download. A little more revealing of two animal loving humans who have struggled a little. Struggled to say no. Struggled to figure it all out. And instead, just simply let their hearts lead the way. And somehow ended up here.

And whilst it has felt a little tough at times, and probably not ended up exactly where we thought it would or might have intended it to be … we are grateful for each and every soul that is a part of this big family. Fostered, adopted, biological… it doesn’t matter. We love each one of them and Luke and I try each and every day our hardest to make them all feel safe, loved, understood and happy in a home of their own.
