This week, we tour an exquisite 4-bedroom unit at Camelot by the Water, located by the prestigious Tanjong Rhu area.
The homeowners are a family of three who moved in back in 2008, but recently opted for a 450k renovation makeover to recreate their 2,745 sqft unit.
Tall ceilings establish a sense of grandeur at the entry, with sconce lights on either end softly illuminating the large-format Italian floor tiles and timber look-alike strips overhead.
The powder room features a vanity wall made up of acrylic base mosaic tiles. Its groutings have been individually painted over in blue sealant, and together with the textured wallpaper opposite, creates a sense of oriental tranquility.
The home opens up to a spacious living room. Linear aesthetics are balanced with warm fixtures, furniture, and paintings here.
Matte finished 3mm gray tile strips line the walls, absent of skirtings below, and creating a seamless flow from floor to ceiling, giving the illusion of a bigger living area.
The first balcony offers a beautiful view of palm trees and water features. This area provides a private and serene environment for the homeowners to unwind in.
Back into the home, we find cabinetry that seamlessly extends from the living room into the dining.
Filling the communal area, a custom 10-seater table, with Italian handmade lights overhead, making for an intimate dining setting.
Wall-hung paintings and a console at the far end further adds character to the dining.
The second balcony offers an indoor-outdoor dining option with a four-seater Rattan al fresco set.
Adjacent, the kitchen features dark laminates contrasted with white quartz countertops. Natural light floods the kitchen, creating an ideal space for cooking or simply enjoying breakfast.
The guest bedroom is spacious and pleasant, with white walls and light engineered wood flooring. It includes an attached bath with two-tone textured stonewalls.
The homeowner's son occupies the second bedroom, which has been culled of its en suite bathroom to maximize living space.
A built-in study table at the other end is positioned against the windows, with paneled wardrobes and display shelving on the side providing further functionality.
A Jack-N-Jill entrance now connects the entertainment room’s bath to the son’s bedroom, serving as an extension of his living space.
The entertainment room features a lounge set up and a TV set, complemented by display shelving showcasing books and figurines.
Finally, the master bedroom is designed with light timber to create an elegant and calming rest environment.
Behind the rest area lies a hidden walk-in wardrobe, cleverly concealed behind fluted panels to mask the irregular layout of the room.
More walk-in wardrobes line the entry, leading to the master bath.
The master bath impresses with dual sinks and combines a variety of design elements found through the home like the kitkat tiles and fluted panel concealments.
