The city of Noto, Sicily was the last stop of our Sicilian trip.  After having been destroyed by an earthquake in 1693, the city of Noto was rebuilt in the baroque style that was common in the rest of Italy at the time.  The architectural unity is what makes Noto so unique and is why it is a Unesco World Heritage site.

We are not necessarily huge fans of the Baroque Style, but Noto offers such unity that you can't help but be in awe in front of these baroque palaces and baroque churches.

If you are wondering what to do in Sicily and what to see in Sicily, Noto should be on your list of places to visit in Sicily.
