1. There is no one exercise for one benefit or condition
- need to work on all 4 aspects of fitness; strength, stamina, stretching and stability
2. Don't go without exercise for more than 3 weeks
- fitness is perishable
3. Plan ahead for exercise every week
- like we plan to build a bank balance, plan to build a fitness balance
