Synopsis:::
Pratirodh' is the story of Deepa and Deep and also the story of supernatural divine powers. Deepa and Deep were childhood sweethearts. Deepa in her childhood had badly injured a snake and on a full moon night she was bitten by a snake. Her body was set afloat on the river after her death. But, her body was discovered by a woman named Gayatri who with the help of a snake-charmer brought Deepa back to life. But she lost her memory and got a new name Lakshmi. Gayatri took shelter in a red light area after killing her evil husband. Gayatri commits suicide and Lakshmi and Deep who is now a police officer meet. Deep's mother meets Lakshmi and wants her to be her daughter-in-law. Deep hastily marries Lakshmi but is unable to accept her. He abandons her when people start scandalizing his name because of her. Lakshmi gets shelter in Deeps ancestral mansion in Ranipur. She gives birth to a child. By the grace of the goddess the curse in her life is withdrawn. She gets back her memory. Deep gets posted there. The goons try to kidnap Lakshmi's child but the goddesses' snake saves them. Lakshmi and Deep are finally united.
