"Resurrected as an urban legend in the dark corners of the internet; The Jupiter P55 is a Soviet-era mainframe computer at the heart of a mysterious lab fire that killed its creators. When a provincial computer museum gets permission to display the machine it is under only one condition; it must be guarded 24/7. Andy, the museum's curator, cuts a few corners by hiring the hapless Doug from a Gumtree ad and leaves him alone with the machine. What should have been easy money for Doug becomes more complicated as the long-dormant machine seems to come to life at night..."

Type Till You Bleed was written in lockdown with the aim of creating a memorable horror film for just under £1200 ($2000 USD). Once written, I pooled together the most talented people I knew, pulled strings with my connections at the local computer museum and gathered all the equipment I use for my day job as a videographer.

Though I had originally aimed to write something as low concept as possible to faciliate our budgetary constraints and a tight schedule (two and a half days, just one with both actors); I guess I'm just not capable of doing so. Thanks to the team we ended up creating a full on, high concept, Giallo style comedy horror that, we hope, punches way above its weight.

The end result is designed to recall the anthology horror films of Amicus and Hammer, the "Future Shocks" shorts from 2000ad, with a huge helping of Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci and a lot of dry British humour.

If nothing else I hope the film is unique, packs a few surpises and really shows what can be done if you have just over a grand and spend most of it on souvlaki and gyros.
