Russia's deputy ambassador to the
Russia's deputy ambassador to the United Nations called out Western allies of Ukraine at the United Nations for not condemning Kyiv's incursion into the Russian region of Kursk.
Dmitry Polyanskiy said: "We haven't heard a word of condemnation of these actions from Western sponsors of the Kyiv regime who continue to cover up the abhorrent crimes of their puppets in the same manner as they ignored its atrocities in Donbas for more than eight years."
President Zelensky said on Monday night that war was “coming home” to Putin as the eight-day Ukrainian assault in western Russia forced tens of thousands of civilians to flee their homes.
The attack in the Kursk region is the largest incursion on Russian territory in more than two years of war, prompting Putin to claim that it was intended to “intimidate society and to undermine stability”.
