Not yet ready for the weekend to end? Stay up late watching cartoons that say bad words on Comedy Central. Just keep the volume down so Mom doesn't catch you up. Yes, I know you're 36 years old, but she still worries.
This is a compilation video I put together using footage of commercials and episodes from shows that played on Sunday nights (from midnight to three) on Comedy Central in the year 2003. The Critic couldn't be used for copyright reasons. It was replaced with Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, which played on Comedy Central around the same time. Think of it as a retro remix or a bootleg Sunday night broadcast.
This is the ninety-sixth video I've made like this. It's also my first Comedy Central video. For the new year, I decided I want to try some new things. I actually had another video made that would have been a much bigger departure from what I've been doing, but it's so long that Youtube keeps having problems processing it. Hopefully it will be ready to go for next week. As for this video, Dr. Katz is a bit anachronistic as I don't believe it was playing on Comedy Central in 2003, although it did make a return in 2002 so close enough. I think it's a fine replacement for The Critic. I remember watching this block sometimes when [adult swim] would play something I'd already seen or wasn't interested in. The hour of Duckman at the end is accurate to the schedule and would have been followed up by Sports Night and then paid programming. Overall, I'm happy with how this one turned out and I hope you enjoy it!
