Working with difficult emotions, experiences, and situations.

WORKING WITH ANXIETY, BURN OUT, DEPRESSION, SEXUAL REPRESSION, ADDICTION, REJECTION AND ABANDONMENT

Within sessions we can work towards understanding the subconscious root cause of your anxiety, panic, dissociation or trauma responses. From there we can move towards learning how to control natural impulses, and habits they may bring up in relationship to your self and others.
We also create a framework with working towards becoming more resilient and navigating your way through life's obstacles and upsets.


What is trauma? Trauma is defined as a particular nervous system response to an overwhelming event; trauma is not the event itself. (Note – the same event might cause a post trauma syndrome such as post traumatic stress disorder [PTSD] in one person, and not in another.) When we are involved in a traumatic event, a huge amount of energy is made available in our bodies so that we can deal with that event. But often we become overwhelmed – shocked – and the energy that should be there to help us becomes frozen and stuck.

Trapped trauma energy can result in

Over-alert and easily startled – feeling ‘on-guard’
Reacting irritably to trivial things, restlessness
Exaggerated emotional reactions, and extreme mood-swings
Panic attacks
Flashbacks and nightmares
Numbness and lack of feeling
Feeling ‘frozen’, disconnected or ‘spaced-out’ (dissociated)
Unexplained medical disorders
Muscle tightness and pain
Headaches
Chronic fatigue
Psychosomatic illnesses
Fibromyalgia, asthma
Skin problems
Digestive problems
Breathing disorders
Nightmares
Inability to think clearly
Memory loss
Porn, sex, or love addiction
Deception of trust through lying, cheating, betrayal


So, the first step......is to feel. And to have needs met around safety in order to be given space to feel. These sessions are a space of felt expression. From this place we give the body space to speak. Each session is a unique constellation of parts work within one individual at play with themselves. Imagine the family of expression, experience, and emotion that resides within you. These sessions give all parts of you a place to be seen, acknowledged, heard and understood. From the mind, to the body, to the heart.....we become bridges of connection to our richest inner worlds.

This is a journey designed to create space for integrated healing, where integrative mental health work can help us to look inwards and lead us on a path towards holistic living in honor of our highest self.

The Detangling Human Heart Break course incorporates integrative healing work, theory and lectures, embodiment exercises, nervous system regulation, art therapy, yoga and meditation, neuropsychology, attachment theory, healing for wounding, trauma responses, shadow work, and so much more!
