💫Topical application of caffeine can reduce dark circles by constriction of blood vessels
💫In 2011, gel-based caffeine 3% is tested on 18 women and 16 men who easily developed puffy eyes. It is concluded that the cooling effect of the gel is the main parameter that reduces puffiness
💫This product contains a couple of antioxidants such as:
1️⃣Synthesized green tea phenols which are anti-inflammatory agents. They might help with skin hydration as well
2️⃣Gallyl Glucoside is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound
3️⃣Glutathione is a tripeptide that protects proteins from oxidation. It's reduced form is a skin whitening but the whitening effect of the oxidized form is still unclear
4️⃣Propyl gallate
💫Using melanin in skincare is a relatively new topic. It is a UV absorbent that protects the skin from damaging UV light. It might help with skin hydration as well
💫Urea and lactic acid are natural moisturizing factors that play as skin penetration enhancer here
💫Lactic acid is a mild exfoliating agent that help reduce dark spots and speeds up cell turnovers
