My 8 best schooling fish tank mates for discus fish
In this video I will show you which ones are for me, the 8 best schooling mates tank fish for discus fish. At least the schooling fish I like the most.
You might wonder what the corydoras are doing here if they aren't “tetra” fish… it's true, they aren't, but they are fish that must also be in shoals… 😋
Obviously there will be others that you think are better. Personally, I don't like to mix more than 3 species of fish with discus fish and I think these 8 are good choices for those who want to combine some tank mates with their discus fish...
It is not mandatory, but I consider that the fish that are placed with the discus fish must come from South America, and the ones I chose come from there.
When there are discus fish that are more hidden, more skittish, that do not swim freely in the aquarium, a group of schooling fish can reassure the discus fish and give them a sense of security.
This can make them come out more...
