Any labor of love will have its trials and tribulations. There will be setbacks and stumbles, a little blood and a whole lot of sweat. A laser-beam focus on your ultimate vision is required, even if that means burning what you have in front of you and starting fresh. Our OPST Micro and Pure Skagit Rods were very much a labor of love, and 5 years and 4 versions later we are proud to finally release them to the public! These two-handed rods are truly a representation of Lead Designer Ed Ward’s vision throughout, and we are all very proud of the final rendition we’re bringing to market. Ed is looking for a rod with a lot of “feedback” while Skagit casting. Why? It helps you feel the road load, improving your over-all casting stroke. He also wants a rod to feel light in-hand, and to be very “lively” when fishing a fish. For Ed, it all boils down to feeling and we couldn’t agree more. Feel the Difference!
