Christmas dinner is by far
Christmas dinner is by far the biggest feast and cost of the year so I visited Lidl to see how much it would cost me if I bought the majority of my ingredients for a Christmas Roast Dinner at a budget shop. When it comes to Christmas dinner I normally share the cost with my other members of our family so I didn't do this as a budget challenge, just out of curiosity if it was just the 3 of us (2 Adults and a toddler). There was a few items in Lidl I wasn't able to purchase so this would be an additional cost to the final cost given. The price and total of ingredients from Lidl were correct at the time of recording. I also haven't factored in the cost of energy consumption (I don't have a smart meter), I used my hob, kettle, microwave and oven to create the meal. The oven was used and cooked multiple items.
Our Christmas is looking a little different this year so before the big day arrives I thought I'd have a mini Christmas dinner with my husband and daughter. It's been a long time since we had a roast dinner and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to test my basic cooking skills for my mini Lidl budget shop Christmas Dinner!
