You have been rushed into A & E (ER) & you've had emergency surgery. The surgery went well & you are going to be just fine. I am your night nurse & i'll be looking after you & caring for you through the night. I start by checking your obs (vitals) then assess the wound, clean it & change the dressing. I then issue you some pain relief & get you comfortable. Lots of personal attention & comfort.
