This is a heart wrenching Elegy/Nowha depicting the sorrow/hardships related to the commencement of the first Lunar Month (Moharram).
A Sister (Bibi Sughra s.a) longing and patiently awaiting the return of her Brother (Ali Aklbar a.s) who leaves Medina along with his Father (Imam Hussain a.s) and companions towards Kerbala, never to come back again and gets Martyred at the Battle of Kerbala on the 10th Day of Moharram.
The Sorrowful coversations which happened between the sister and the brother and the brother's promise that he will come back soon to see her sister and the brothers fate of attaining Martyrdom in Kerbala and sister patiently awaiting has been versed in Urdu in a very melancholous way.
