Shark Bay Conservation Area is a large marine reserve, located on the western edge of Australia. This unique UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring shallow and warm salty waters, is a fascinating spot. It's on the World Heritage List for three main reasons: the enormous banks of sea grass just under the surface, the spectacular diversity of marine life that lives in the Bay, like sharks, dolphins, turtles and dugongs (sea cows), and the incredible stromatolites, that were so crucial to the development of life on earth. Let's have a look around!
