In this video, I want to share with you five features of the new #Outlook desktop experience that will add value to the way you interact with your email. I've been using the online version and the #PWA for a while now, and many of those features will be coming to the new desktop experience.
The first feature is the ability to pin emails. #Email inboxes can get very full, and being able to pin important emails is extremely useful. To pin an email, select it and click on the pin icon to move it to the top of your inbox.
The second feature is Outlook boards in your calendar. This feature was previously only available in the PWA or online version, but it's now coming to the desktop experience. Boards allow you to organize your tasks and calendar in a way that works for you.
The search experience is also greatly enhanced. You can now scope your search to specific folders and get very granular in your search queries. This feature makes it easy to find what you're looking for quickly.
Categories and favorites are another feature that I've found to be helpful. You can tag or categorize your emails and create favorites based on those categories. This feature allows you to easily find and organize your emails.
Finally, the task functionality is greatly enhanced in both the online and desktop versions of Outlook. You can now open up a panel with Microsoft to-do and your calendar, making it easy to add emails as tasks or events. Overall, these features make the new Outlook desktop experience a great improvement from the previous versions.
