BMW E46 M3 Engine Mount Replacement DIY (2001-2006 BMW M3)

►The M3's S54 engine likes to twist under acceleration. However, it twists in one direction, causing one mount to stretch while the other is compressed. That happens every time it's driven, which results in a couple of blown mounts. It's quite common on the E46 chassis, but replacing the engine mounts isn't the worst job in the world. A handful of hand tools and a good jack are really all you'll need, along with some patience.
