Although this video shows a 110 ltr SUP/wing foil board, the same technique is relevant for using a prone board - the only real difference is that you need to build up a bit more speed before you pull yourself up to your knees and then to your feet, but in both cases, the most important thing to do is to keep the board flat to the water for long enough to build up enough speed so you can get on foil without stalling - watch the video for full instructions and examples.
To see examples of the same technique when using a 29 ltr prone board you can watch this video of actual prone take-off's in this video: Prone foildrive FLATWATER TAKEOFFS
The reason I prefer to show the technique with a bigger board is because it's very difficult to see what is going on with a prone board due to the fact that the board is hidden by either the rider or the water during most of the take-off. Using a bigger board to learn on might not be necessary for everyone, but IMO most people will greatly benefit from using a bigger board - foiling is all about the subtle nuances of body and board/foil position - using a bigger board gives you much more margin for error and lets you progress much faster than going straight to a negative volume board.
