This patient is finally ready to have his toenail looked at but at this stage, just trimming the lifted nail isn’t enough. Due to the significant change to the nail bed and soft tissue, we will need to surgically remove the toenail and all the bad “rotten” tissue to allow a new, healthier nail to appear.
