Call Me Bae is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy drama television series written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair directed by Colin D'Cunha.[1] Produced under Dharmatic Entertainment, the series features an ensemble cast that includes Ananya Pandey, Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra and Mini Mathur. It is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime on 6 September 2024.
Ananya Panday (born 30 October 1998) is an Indian actress who primarily works in Bollywood films. The daughter of actor Chunky Panday, she began her acting career in 2019 with roles in the teen film Student of the Year 2 and the comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh. These performances earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.[1] Her two subsequent films were poorly received, but she had a commercial success with a brief role in the comedy Dream Girl 2 (2023) and her performances in the dramas Gehraiyaan (2022) and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (2023) were well-received.
Sucharita Tyagi is the newly elected Vice Chairperson of the Film Critics Guild of India. With nearly 20 years of media experience, she is best known for her popular movie reviews on YouTube, where she has built a community of dedicated fans. Now splitting her time between Mumbai and New York, Tyagi also has extensive experience in broadcast radio. With a unique voice, she reviews films and discusses South Asian pop culture with honesty and passion through a contemporary, feminist lens, breaking down complex issues in relatable ways.
