Three of these hikes begin at Humber Park GPS waypoint are 33.7658535 (North), -116.6861288 (West) and the approximate elevation is 6,568 feet (2,002 meters) above sea level.
An adventure pass is required for all these hikes - linked right here.

The Ernie Maxwell  Trail is located at the bottom section of Humber Park - arrive early to get parking.  As we mentioned it's a five-mile out and back and if you begin at Humber Park, you will be hiking uphill for the return hike.  Better to begin at the end as we suggested.

Suicide Rock hike begins on the highway approximately a mile North of Idyllwild town.
Latitude: 33.753026. Longitude : -116.722708. Parking for this trail can get very tricky and as it's not very well shaded, an early morning arrival is essential.

Tahquitz Fire Lookout begins again in Humber Park and heads up the Devil's Slide.  This is a very popular trail (as most great trails are) We suggest an early arrival not just for the parking, but to avoid crowds both on the trail and at the lookout.  On our first trip here, it was closed due to the pandemic, but at the time of writing this, you can at least go up the stairs and walk around outside.

Round Valley is an amazing hike once again beginning at Humber Park - you can also start this hike at the top of the Aerial Springs Tramway, making it a MUCH shorter hike.  Round Valley is our favorite overnight hike so far - its beauty and sheer remoteness made it a magical place.

Marion Mt Trail -(Cat's least favorite hike) begins at the Marion Mountain Campground Latitude: 33.792513. Longitude : -116.732065
The parking lot is reached off the main 243 highway to Idyllwild and then take the Dark Canyon road up to the camp where there is plenty of space.  It can't be overstated how hard this trail is.  People use it to train for Mt Whitney and beyond.  It is hot, and steep and the elevation gain is extreme.  However, it is oh so worth it and if we can do it - almost anyone can.
