If you have a system with multiple subs and amplifiers, you definitely want to look into having an active crossover. Managing the levels of sound, especially in a build with multiple products, it is important that each product is tuned properly so that your system can perform at maximum efficiency. Although some amps already have a crossover network, there are pros to having an addtional crossover, one with more capabilities of course.
