Indian Vegetarian food recipe. very easy to make with traditional style. Kadhi is the famous Indian dish made from yogurt or butter milk and gram flour / besan. There are so many varieties of this simple dish.
Ingredients :
Butter milk/ Yogurt      500 ml.
Besan (Gram flour)1   One big tbsp
Curry leaves                 5 pieces
Green chili                    1 finely chopped
Ghee                              1 tsp
Ajwain                           1/4 tsp
Fenugreek seeds         1/4tsp
Pepper powder            1/4 tsp
Red chili powder        1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder        1/4 tsp
Coriander Powder      1/2 tsp
Black salt                     1/2 tsp
Salt                  -as per taste
Asafoetida      1 pinch
Garam Masala     - 1/2 tsp
Green coriander leaves - Finely chopped

1. Take buttermilk in a bowl and whisk it gently. Combine gram flour/besan with buttermilk and mix well.
2. For tempering heat a tsp of clarified butter/ghee in a nonstick deep bottom pan.
3. Add Ajwain and Fenugreek seeds in ghee and fry them.
4. Add Turmeric and green chili, curry leaves in it
5. Pour the kadhi mixture on tempered spices and mix well.
6. Stir the Kadhi till it comes to the boil.
7. Now add black salt, Pepper powder, Jaggery & salt as per your taste.
8. Mix well and let kadhi simmer for 8-10 minutes on low flame.
9. Add Garam masala  simmer for 5 minutes more
10. The kadhi is ready. Serve the kadhi hot with steamed rice, plain khichdi or masala khichdi, Nan, Rothi , Paratha.
