This video is a quick walkthrough on how to replace the rear struts (and springs) in any second-gen Lexus GS vehicle (GS300, GS400, and GS430). Decently straightforward job as long as you don’t try to overcomplicate things and if you have a reasonable working environment. Torque specs for all fasteners are as follows:
Stabilizer bar link nut: 22 ftlbs
Lower shock absorber bolt: 81 ftlbs
Lower suspension arm nut: 81 ftlbs
Mid shock absorber bolts: 13 ftlbs
Strut tower nuts: 47 ftlbs
Piston rod lock nut: 20 ftlbs
