The Canadian government has expelled
The Canadian government has expelled a top Indian diplomat in what Justin Trudeau has called “credible allegations” that India’s government may have had links to the assassination of a Sikh activist on Canadian soil.
In retaliation, the Indian government expelled a Canadian diplomat after rejecting the Canadian Prime Minister’s allegations.
Sky News host Peta Credlin said she heard at the G20 New Delhi summit in India there was a “palpable tension” between Mr Trudeau and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Trudeau has been on the record very supportive of the Sikh separatist movement,” she said.
“It’s really gone up a notch now.”
