In this episode of In The Kitchen With Matt, I talk all about Jackfruit. I show one way how to eat jackfruit, I talk about some health benefits and discuss ways that it is prepared. Additionally, I describe what it tastes like to me. Jackfruit is the largest tree fruit in the world and can be eaten fresh or cooked. And the seeds are edible as well. These enormous fruits are packed with nutrition too. There is more than one way to cut a jackfruit, this is just one of the common ways. Now let's dive into the wonderful world of jackfruit!
Where does jackfruit come from?
It originated in southern India and Malaysia. But it grows very well worldwide in tropical lowlands and subtropical regions. It grows in central and east Africa, the Caribbean, Brazil, Australia, many of the Pacific islands, and in Florida, to name a few of the countries.
