Peter talks to Stand 21's Yves Morizot about the development and use of the HANS collar - the life-saving device that has become standard-wear not only for all of today's F1 drivers but also for thousands of other competitors in all branches of motor racing. As the maker of helmets, overalls, gloves and race boots, Yves worked in the vortex of the French motor racing revolution in the 1970s and 1980s and therefore earned the respect and friendship of such drivers as Alain Prost, Jacques Laffite, Patrick Depailler, Jean-Pierre Jabouille, Rene Arnoux, Patrick Tambay and Didier Pironi. For 40 years he has remained a familiar figure at motor racing events around the world. We spoke on Zoom shortly after Yves returned from his latest trip (to the Bonneville Salt Flats).
