The amazing Barceló Maya Grand Resort is all inclusive and located in Riviera Maya. It is just 45 minutes away from the Cancun airport. The grounds are miles long and it is very safe. I attended a wedding here and we decided to take a weeks vacation as well. The resort has six different sections including the Adults Only Barcelo Maya Riviera, Barcelo Maya Palace, Barcelo Maya Caribe, Barcelo Maya Colonial, Barcelo Maya Beach, and Barcelo Maya Tropical. During our stay in October 2020, the Caribe, Beach and Tropical section were closed. It is rumored that the Colonial section will re close until after the winter slow season but beach activities will resume. The staff did a great job with traveling during COVID and I felt safe the entire trip.
