How to make a VHS Tape Loop

(update 1 year after uploading) i should probably say that i havent messed with this concept in a while now, i was already kinda falling out of the analog visuals scene at the time i made this tutorial. if anyone comments with any questions, i will try to help with the best of my ability, but i am a little removed from it these days.
long story short, i was messing with audio cassette tape looping years ago and wanted to transfer that concept to VHS tapes. found a few people doing similar things in videos from 10 years ago but never found anybody documenting how to do it, so i pulled an all nighter and pulled some tapes apart to come up with this method. posted that to instragram where i discovered the whole world of analog visuals and that there was a genuine interest in doing this. i spent another year or two still messing around with it but never really figured out a better solution, started running out of unique ideas utilizing it, and then kinda lost interest. i always told myself i needed to make a tutorial/guide and never got around to it until last year, hence this videos existence.
all this to say, im almost 100% certain there are better, more stable ways to do this. the main reason i had for creating this tutorial was so there was something documented out there(since there was nothing for me), and that if someone with interest searched VHS tape loop like i did, they would at least have something to start with. i believe that if someone with more time, knowledge, or skill decided to dig into this, that an easier method could be found, or that you could do many more interesting things with it.
