Goal of the Project:
In the last set of classes since your last Capstone class, you have learned many concepts and you are now ready to design your own game.
In this project, you will be designing a fighter tank game of your choice.
Story:
In this game there needs to be:
A Player Tank sprite, that can be moved in all directions using the arrow keys.
There are opponent tank sprites that are created when the game starts.
The tank needs to save itself from the collision with opponent tank sprites.
The player tank sprite has the power to launch weapons to destroy opponent sprites.
You can subsequently add the twist of shooting bullets at the opponent’s sprites.
Getting Started:
Login to code.org
Click on the following link: Project Template
Click on “How it Works”.
Click on “Remix”.
Rename the project to Project 20 and click on Save.
Specific Tasks to complete the Project:
Create a background and a story for your game
You can download images from the internet.(Optional)
Create the Player Tank sprite for your game and add controls for your sprite
Make the sprite move on the screen with the click of the arrow keys.
Create the opponent sprites that continuously come from the opposite direction.
The main sprite should start launching weapons or bullets on the press of a specific key
When weapon sprite collides with the opponent sprite(s):
Opponent sprite should destroy itself.
New sprites start coming from opposite directions with increased speed.
When the opponent sprite collides with the Player sprite:
The Player sprite should be destroyed.
Display a GAME OVER message
The game's restart button should appear
Add a background sound to make your game more interesting.
Click “Run” once to check if the code is working correctly.
Submitting the Project:
SAVE all the changes made to the project.
Click the "SHARE" button to generate a shareable link.
Copy this link and submit it in the Student Dashboard Projects panel against the correct class number.
