In this video I show you a damaged USB-C port on this Nokia 9 PureView and try to fix it but then start ranting about Nokia's bad quality and bad design. I got this Nokia 9 off eBay for $89 and it was listed as not charging past 40% so I assumed it was the battery. I replaced the battery and It didn't fix it. It was obvious that the USB-C port was the issue as it also has a lot of give when moved and it didn't charge properly. Turns out the badly designed port has cracked solder and the port is just hanging there after the cheap retention pins had failed causing the full force to get onto the solder. The screws meant to hold it in place were of no use either. Its sad to see Nokia having such bad design and the whole plethora of other complaints that their newer phones have gotten. These issues range from battery issues, Nokia charging port issues, antenna issues, charging issues and so on. And this is from Nokia of all companies, a manufacturer known for make high quality durable phones of a legendary status. Icing on the cake, its a high end 2019 flagship smartphone which also didn't get the Android 11 update. So yeah the Nokia 9 Pureview on Android 11 or Nokia 9 Pureview On Android 12 won't happen sadly. This Nokia 9 Pureview can be charged using the wireless charger so its no issue but I had to explain the issue in detail hence the rant. I will soon do a Nokia 9 PureView in 2022, Nokia 9 Pureview 2022, and Nokia 9 Pureview Camera performance in 2022 and comparisons to other notable camera phones too so stay tuned by subscribing! These are not considered rare phones or collectible phones but just like the Nokia 808 PureView it will go up in price over time! Still, I am keeping them in my phone collection since they are considered as collectors items My collection also includes Nokia Prototypes, Blackberry Prototypes, Motorola Prototypes, Sony Ericsson prototypes, Sony Prototypes, HTC Prototypes, Rare Nokia and other rare developer devices! These phones are no Android 11 or Android 12 powerhouses and It also ain't no iPhone 13 Pro Max, Google Pixel 6, Lumia 950Xl, Lumia 1520, Lumia 1020, Google Pixel 6 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Motorola Edge S or OnePlus 8T but are definitely interesting phones on their own!
