Managing player ranks is an important aspect of running a Minecraft server. Having an effective ranking system allows you to create a hierarchy to ensure your server runs smoothly. You can split regular players from server staff, and decide which commands are available to players on your server.

If you’re using Bukkit, Spigot, SpongeForge, or Paper, rank systems are not included by default. You’ll need a permissions plugin to manage these settings. LuckPerms is the ideal plugin for this situation.
