Beam Analysis: Comparison of Analytical and Numerical deflections

This hands on video is one of the series of videos on beam analysis but here we focus on a comparsion between numerical and analytical predictions of end-deflection of a cantilever beam. This is important as the video demonstrates an approach for validating a numerical prediction - in case by comparing it with analytical values. The process of validation is at the core of finite element predictions, for such to be reliable.
