How to Remove an Email Account from Outlook
Outlook is immensely important in the corporate environment. Learning outlook will definitely give you an upper hand. In a previous tutorial I’ve demonstrated how you can add and email account to outlook and now its time to remove one. Why we should learn to remove an account from outlook? Its basic, you don’t want your official communication to be seen by others also you don’t want someone else’s email on your outlook.
Let’s assume you’ve joined a new company and on your pc the previous employee’s email is active. Its time to remove them. Again, you are leaving a job or getting a promotion, you don’t want to leave your email active on another outlook. So, follow the instruction below an learn how to remove email account from outlook in desktop.
Step 1: Open Outlook.
Step 2: Click on File.
Step 3: Under the account settings option select Account Settings.
Step 4: Here you’ll get the list of email accounts, select the one you want to remove.
Step 5: Then click on remove.
Step 6: A Popup will show to inform you that all the data will be deleted. If you need to keep a backup you should take it before removing the account.
Step 7: Click Yes and done.
