Varun Gandhi adopted Vallipur as his Adarsh Gram under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, and allegedly never showed his face again. People allege that the very road to connect the village to rest of the Sultanpur has not been made in last five years. Gandhi managed to make a cremation ghat, but employed none of the villagers in making of the same. The very cremation ghat is being used for gambling and fun.
