Highly venomous.
The Rinkhals is a venomous elapid species located in certain regions of southern Africa. It differs from true cobras as it does not belong to the genus Naja but is instead part of the monotypic genus Hemachatus. Despite this distinction, it is closely affiliated with true cobras and is recognized as one of the genuine spitting cobras.
