A black blizzard threw Moscow into chaos. Snow storm in Russia.
In Moscow during the day, visibility almost completely disappeared. Residents were hiding from the bad weather in shelters. Strong winds were accompanied by heavy snow. The capital was covered by the so-called black blizzard. Visibility dropped to almost zero in a couple of seconds.
Local authorities recommended refraining from traveling for a couple of hours. There was also thunder in places. There were massive traffic jams on the roads. The blizzard disturbed the townspeople and lasted until the evening.
A “black blizzard” is a weather phenomenon when large flakes of snow fly almost parallel to the surface of the earth. And visibility then becomes zero. There were no reports of any serious incidents.
